Care Instructions

All my digital printing is done at the Centre of Advanced Textiles (http://www.catdigital.co.uk) They have supported me throughout the development of this range and their customer service, advice and guidance has been outstanding. During the printing process they  print, steam ( to set the dye and allow it into the fibres ), wash and press the fabric before sending it to me at my studio. C.A.T use reactive dyes for their digital printing which go directly onto pre-treated fabric.  The end result is a vibrant, washable and colour-fast print. If you are interested in the process and would like to know more about digital printing I would be more than happy to help. Please email me shiloengelbrecht@gmail.com

Although these textiles are colourfast and durable they are  hand finished and dyed products, so some care is needed when cleaning them.:

COTTON: Digitally printed cottons are all dry-cleanable. Alternatively, you can use a gentle hand or machine wash in warm water with mild detergent.  Please note if you decide to hand wash, fabrics need to be rinsed and machine spun immediately afterwards. Always wash separately and use a cold rinse. Do not soak. Do not leave your fabric wet . A cool tumble can be used but we recommend line dry and iron from damp.

SILK: We recommend dry cleaning the silk for best results.
